"Goscior - the Zwischenweltler" at Mainfrankentheater

"Greetings aus'm forest". With the musical "Goscior - the Zwischenweltler" the Theatre of Würzburg is currently waiting and takes the audience with a true spectacle in effect a completely different world, in the world of goblins. Bernhard Stengel, who once again proves his knack for fast, catchy and very successful productions, the entire ensemble cast of the Theatre of Würzburg brings to the stage and tells a compelling, entertaining and funny story with many imaginative skits on current events. Sparkling and non-genre live music band with a goblin masks, a simple, but effective and fast changeable scenery and very expensive, great crafted masks contribute to the success of the first performed in Würzburg musical "Goscior - the Zwischenweltler" written by Frank Felicetti, who will in goblin mask as Dollock same or even a role.

The plot is rather simple and sometimes so stereotyped right that one could wonder how it still is to come out a good musical: George and his girlfriend Maria walk in the woods and find a red crystal, the goblins heard. Of course, the two realize this is not because yes people do not believe in leprechauns, and the magic stone, which the wrath of the forest dwellers steal a result. While Mary may flee with the stone, George will be transformed as a punishment in Goscior, a being between man and goblin that looks and talks like a leprechaun, but also in the human world is visible and has no magical powers. Of course Goscior will be back to George and heads into the human world to retrieve the stone. Easier said than done, because in the hectic and gray city is no place for elves and magic, also can not Goscior communicate in human language. At his side are the legal guardian and Rinja Dollock. And of course there's an ancient prophecy that there will come some day one who will serve as a link between the human world and the elves, because once the two peoples lived together, yes, were even only one people. "But the people no longer believe in us," complained Rinja, "they have no sense of magic." Goscior alias George gets himself into a moral conflict, because he'll soon between two sides ...

Well. As I said, more action 15.8. The image "intrusion into other worlds and subsequent crisis of conscience" we already know from "Pocahontas" and in digital remake of "Avatar," in the declining belief in witchcraft and magic were suffering the Childlike Empress, and fantasies, Peter Pan and Neverland and Co. However, music, dialogue and staging this same fact of so skillfully that one "Goscior" may simply have to. A great music with some funny and thought-provoking lyrics, a wonderfully harmonious ensemble, see fun and joy to have in this production is shining and making wonderful allusions and parodies of current events of the evening wonderful, and to make just two and half hours to an unforgettable experience. In addition, the Mainfrankentheater runs once his entire technical equipment on - smoke machine, turn lights, video projections, live band, Headphones (At the beginning of a bit of time until you understand everything), lighting effects and more ...

have to slip in up to five roles the actors. Kai Christian Moritz is George and Gosicor up and be vocal and acting talents impressively demonstrated, Anne Diemer is the cunning and greedy girlfriend Maria and convinced most recently in Schiller's "parasite" by her vocal solo number at the death of fairy tales. Maria Vogt mimes cute and funky legal guardian Rinja, musical author Frank Felicetti interacts with itself as a rough, Kobold Dollock. The rest of the events alternate between elves, men, bums, faceless Omniscient (one of the best numbers in the whole piece, because playing together singing, movement and directing ideas wonderful) and plays every role from wonderful. Maria Brendel acts as East German grandmother, the word "coin" takes only too well, for many laughs and stands once again, with her distinctive voice and her skills out a bit, Kai Markus Brecklinghaus can rap and talk "all crass" German and Anne Simmering is back to her lively and mad-eccentric presentation needs, much to the delight of the audience.

Bernhard Stengele leads the troops safely and skillfully through the plot, as so often surprisingly simple, yet effective ideas, like rubber bands on the hands and feet, giving the anonymous city dwellers at a private party puppet-like features, white masks over their faces and rotating figures in the omniscient leaders of the world and make wise game in the audience. The tape is easily integrated and comes on the goblin look. A coup, entertaining, coherent, interspersed with serious tone and sense of hidden criticism (just listen to the names that are used to control in the home, the "Light System"), catchy songs and melodies and a great cast. Go cheer, which can take itself - the run on the cards is great, so do not wait long! More information is also available here .
