defenders of neo-Nazis Ittner will soon be on trial
Nuremberg (Germany), 08.28.2005 - In early April 2005 was convicted of neo-Nazi Gerhard Ittner Nuremberg state court in absentia to a prison sentence for sedition. Soon his lawyer Stefan Böhmer from the Frankish Uttenreuth also expects a trial for sedition.
The prosecution relied on the indictment on the actions of the prosecutor before the district court during Ittner process. In this report the defender more time applications, which classifies the prosecution as hate speech. He stated in his evidence submitted under including the killing of Jews in Auschwitz in question. During the trial he was repeatedly asked to refrain from those comments, as they may be liable to prosecution. The lawyer responded, however, these teachings do not, but repeated those statements in his closing argument. He then snubbed the judges of the trial against Ittner, by ostentatiously while the verdict left the meeting room.
This led to the prosecution in May 2005 a criminal investigation against a lawyer. She then asked the District Court of Nuremberg, to condemn him to punishment by a fine. The reason for the fine to put request had the prosecutor to the court document, first, read in which the lawyer seditious thought and handed over to the court. The district court issued the punishment. He was not final because the lawyer lodged an objection. Subsequently, the district court has scheduled the Nuremberg trial. The exact date is still unknown.
The client of the lawyer, Gerhard Ittner, is still on the run and being sought on arrest warrants. + + Wikinews
